During the monsoon season, excess humidity can lead to oily and sticky skin. To maintain a fresh and healthy complexion, here are five essential skincare tips.
Cleanse Regularly
Start your day by cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser. This will help remove excess oil, dirt and sweat. Follow it up with a toner to balance the skin's pH levels.
Choose a lightweight, water-based moisturizer that won't clog your pores. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which provides hydration without making your skin greasy.
Regular exfoliation is crucial to prevent clogged pores and remove dead skin cells. However, during the monsoon, opt for gentle exfoliators to avoid excessive drying.
Don't skip sunscreen, even on cloudy days. Choose a non-greasy, broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Reapply every two to three hours, especially if you're spending time outdoors.
Use oil-absorbing sheets to combat excess oil. Avoid heavy makeup and switch to water- based or matte formulations. Additionally, carrying a facial mist can help refresh and hydrate your skin while on the go.
